WISCONSIN State Incentives

Wisconsin's Technology Zone Program is designed to help stimulate the growth of businesses in Wisconsin's high-technology sectors. Eight zones have been designated in the state, and $5 million in income tax credits has been allocated to each zone. Tax credits will be made available to high-technology businesses locating or expanding in a designated Technology Zone.

The Enterprise Development Zone Program provides tax incentives to new or expanding businesses whose projects will affect distressed areas. Projects must affect distressed areas suffering from high unemployment, low incomes, declining population, declining property values, and plant closings.

The Customized Labor Training (CLT) Program is designed to assist companies that are investing in new technologies or manufacturing processes by providing a grant of up to 50% of the cost of training employees in the new technologies. The program's primary goal is to help Wisconsin manufacturers maintain a workforce that is on the cutting-edge of technological innovation.
