IDAHO State Incentives

The Idaho Workforce Development Training Fund was set up to assist businesses with the cost of training new employees. Qualifying companies can receive up to $2,000 in training funds for every job created. In select Idaho rural counties, up to $3,000 per job is available.

The Idaho Business Advantage is available to any business that makes a $500,000 or larger investment in new plant and building facilities in Idaho and hires at least 10 new qualified employees. Qualifying businesses can receive a 3.75% investment tax credit, (limited to 62.5% of the taxpayer's tax or $750,000, whichever is less for the taxable year), a 2.5% real property improvement tax credit (up to $125,000), and a new jobs tax credit of up to $3,000 per job. A tax rebate of 25% is available for any property constructed, located, or installed within the project site during the project period. Local county commissions have the authority to exempt all or part of the new investment value from property taxes for a determined period of time.

Community and Rural Development Block Grants are state-sponsored programs and federal grants to assist Idaho communities and counties with infrastructure improvements that encourage business expansion. Up to $500,000 is available to local cities and counties to finance public infrastructure improvements or in some cases, finance and facilitate business development, expansion, or relocation.
