IN INDIANA
Armed with more than $2.3 million in state assistance, American
Signature Inc. is building a new regional distribution facility
in LaPorte, IN, with plans to create 195 new jobs by 2007, Indiana
Governor Joe Kernan announced in June. The company is investing
more than $23 million in a new, 517,000-square-foot facility
at Eastgate Industrial Park. The facility is scheduled to open
in early 2005, and will serve as a distribution center for the
company's Midwest region stores.

In June, The Beacon Council announced that Boston Scientific

in DTCC investing $34 million in facilities, IT infrastructure,

building and 76,708 SF parking garage in Bethesda, MD. The $10.4
million project was built by Hubert Construction, LLC of Gaithersburg,
Maryland.

White Plains and Motts, Inc., of Stamford, Conn., will combine
into one integrated company headquartered in New York's Hudson
Valley.
The relocation to Rye Brook will create more than 400 jobs and
a $10.9 million renovation of 135,000 square feet of office
space. The Westchester County Office of Economic Development
along with Empire State Development and Con Edison worked together
to encourage the company to relocate operations from Connecticut
