Invitrogen Opens Singapore Supply Center
Invitrogen Corporation, a leading provider of essential life science technologies for disease research and drug discovery, announced the official opening of its Invitrogen Singapore Supply Centre located in Singapore’s leading state-of-the-art bio-medical park, The Biopolis.
The first of its kind in the world, the center seeks to provide better scientific supplies and greater convenience for the local research community. Stocked with Invitrogen’s extensive line of life science products and cell culture systems, the center offers a range of 300 different core products, which would be further expanded in line with the researchers’ demands.
In addition, technical specialists are available onsite to facilitate customers in their protocol queries and assist them in selecting the appropriate products. Alternatively, users can make use of Internet kiosks terminals to access Invitrogen’s eScience online tools and source for product information.
“The launch of the new supply center exemplifies our commitment in meeting the growing needs of the 4000 biomedical and scientific researchers in Singapore,” says Dr. Owen Wright, director of Commercial Operations for Oceania, Invitrogen. “With this new facility, we hope to improve our supply channels and offer a more comprehensive customer service experience to customers.”
Situated in Singapore's biomedical sciences R&D hub, the S$1 million property is located on the fourth level of the Chromos Building, within The Biopolis. With 4,000 square feet of floor space, Invitrogen Supply Centre also boasts of additional space for breakout meetings and seminar facilities for discussion groups and clubs.
Due to its convenient location within the biomedical hub, customers are celebrating the launch of the new supply center. “The opening of Invitrogen’s physical supply center is very well received by the scientific community, as the facility gives researchers in Biopolis immediate access to its specialized resources and services,” says Angela Tsang, Singapore Regional Sales Manager. “It also helps that there are staff stationed at the location to provide scientific and product advice, that greatly facilitates their work and expedite the R&D process.”
